About Psychotherapy
Not all psychotherapy or counseling has been scientifically proven to be effective. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy have been shown to be effective in treating some mental disorders.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT)

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a series of interactive sessions to help improve mood and alleviate emotional distress through a positive change in thinking. It is based on the scientific fact that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events. By changing the way we think, we can feel and act better even if the situation does not change. Learning new, more rational ways of reacting to situations leads to long term positive results.

In times passed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sessions have been conducted by therapists. In-person therapy is expensive and not available in many locations. Recent studies have shown that on-line cognitive behavioural therapy is medically effective. Several free sites are now offered. Not only are the sites free, they are available any time any where.
